Welcome to IPaintTheMoon.com, the name means what it says. I paint the moon, quite often actually. I have a simple abstract style that seems to get a little bit better every time. Usually I start a painting with a solid black basecoat, and no real plan for the painting. I just put brush to canvas and eventually I end up with something pretty interesting. I am drawn to circular organic patterns and will likely continue painting along those lines. I have begun to use conceptual drawings, and this is helping my paintings be more complex.

Credit for the name of this web site goes to my nephew Michael who, at the ripe old age of three, chimed in one lazy Saturday afternoon by asking me “why” I always paint the moon. I shrugged and said “I paint the moon”. And there you have the birth of an idea…
